The winter (and fall) are “menswear’s” favorite months to dress in because of all the layering, accessories, and outfits that can be put together. Whereas the summer can often be shorts and a tee, the winter allows for fun, textured fabrics, sweaters, coats, blazers, jackets, and more.
Indeed, while there is always much focus on those things, other accessories can often be overlooked. One of these are the humble gloves. You might have a great outfit put together, but when that finishing touch of the gloves ends up being something you might go skiing with. A proper outfit, though, should be finished in the winter with nice leather gloves. We at TPL have two such recommendations we have tried and been impressed with this winter.
The first is a pair of Proper Cloth’s cashmere lined leather gloves in black. Super sleek and subtle, they feel amazing right out of the box, and will only get better with age. They are super comfortable, and the level of shininess to the leather is just right. This is the ultimate dress glove.
The second option is Suitsupply, in particular their light brown suede option. These are a bit less expensive, also extremely comfortable, but this is in a more unique and special material being a light brown, camel-like suede. This is a great secondary pair of gloves for more casual outfits, or blue/brown tones outfits.
In all, with these two pairs you’ll be good to go looking classy in any outfit you can put together.
