It’s not every day you find a new brand you previously had never heard about, but instantly rockets to the top of your personal list of favorites. Cavour, though, is just that sort of brand.
I will not here go into a full rundown of the details behind the brand, as Menswear Musings already did a perfect job of that. I will, however, say this much: Cavour is some of the highest quality, best-made, most intricately detailed tailoring pieces I have ever seen in this price range. Why is that? Well, because they are currently running a sale offering many of their pieces at 50% off or more. I grabbed a 100% Baby Camel Loro Piana blazer with a full floating canvas (as most of their jackets have) for like $500. That is unheard of. Nay, that is highway robbery.
The fit is great (though not without the need for a bit of tailoring); go by the size charts and you won’t be disappointed. The free 2 day shipping was awesome. And they even offer free returns if something does not work out. But, like I said, I don’t remember I was this happy about a purchase like this in a while. Cavour really did come out of nowhere — to me — and rocket to the top of my list.
The one thing I wish they offered was more flat-front trouser options. I get the appeal of the pleat, but I just will always prefer a flat front on my own body, so more options there would be nice.
The truth is that even at full price these garments are great, but when they run sales like this, the stuff is downright absurd not to buy. That is a healthy way of thinking of it, right?
